Illuminate the Future

LUMYNT

Science Education Initiative
Lumynt is a faith based science education initiative that seeks to inspire students from under privileged backgrounds to pursue careers in science.  We bring scientists, researchers, and doctors out to the field with their families to share their gifts and talents to students around the world.  In doing so, we hope to bring science from a lofty ivory tower concept down to real flesh and blood, something that is available to strive and attain.

Lumynt partners with churches, non profits, and schools to coordinate project locations to host these events.  We seek to benefit not only the students, but also their nation, our scientists, their families, and our project hosts.

Come join us in our endeavor together!

Our Process

Ph.D. / M.D.

We look for men and women with doctorates that are passionate about using their talents and gifts for the good of the world.  To most effectively communicate that scientists are not a different breed of people, we found it most impactful to have scientists directly teach and lead classes.
i

Curriculum

Our scientists then develop lesson plans in house using inspiration from the education systems already in place in the US and Korea.  By keeping all lessons hands on we seek to again bring science closer to home.  The base model lessons are then scaled in difficulty to fit the needs of each student group.

Family

The lead teaching staff of scientists are accompanied by assistants with lower credentials.  We encourage our volunteers to bring their families to the events to create a generational culture of serving others, while also creating a warmer and friendlier atmosphere.
